FAQs

What is the sign-up process?

You will complete the Boot Camp Registration form and submit it through this site or fax, mail, or bring it with you to your initial meeting/
evaluation. This evaluation is very simple and takes only twenty to thirty minutes.

It includes the following:

    1.  Introduction to Charm City Adventure Boot Camp and answers to any more questions you may have. Your medical history will also be reviewed.
    2.  You will have some simple measurements done to see "where you are" prior to beginning camp. We don't care what the measurements show. It is strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and all other information are strictly confidential. We will also assess your posture to see if your back is healthy. We can modify exercises if your back, neck, or shoulders are sore or previously injured.
    3.  You will be weighed. Again, the number doesn't matter. We just want to see improvement.
    4.  Next, your body fat is measured. Expect a 3-8% reduction over the four weeks.
    5.  Your questions will be answered and final instructions given.
    6.  See you at Camp - 6:00 AM Sharp!

How many people are in each camp?

This number usually varies between 20-35.

How long is my drive time?

10-15 minutes from downtown Baltimore, 10-15 minutes from Timonium/Cockeysville, 10-15 minutes from Pikesville and Greenspring Valley. This is a unique experience, worth the drive. Remember, at 6:00 in the morning the traffic is very light - your drive time is greatly reduced!

What if I sign up for the three-day plan and then want to do all 20 days of the camp?

This actually happened almost every time a person starts with three days per week. They have so much fun they ask to do all the days. You will simply be prorated from the point you decide to join us for all the days.

Will I be sore sometimes?

Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It's part of the process that lets you improve!

What kind of people go to camp?

They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little push to jump start their fitness and wellness program. It's important that you are free from injuries that would greatly restrict your involvement. Some campers may require a physician's release prior to participation. If you do not have ANY recent exercise experience, we recommend personal fitness training with one of the Wellness On Wheels trainers.

Is there a refund policy?

You will receive a credit towards another boot camp if you are unable to continue with the one you began because of circumstances beyond your control. This credit is nontransferable. Credit is not given towards private training. There is no cash refund. Credit is valid for 365 days from the time it is given.

What is a typical day like at boot camp?

That's challenging to say since each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect, mat work, some running (less than one mile), light weight training, obstacle courses and jumping rope each week. On special days, we will go hiking and play sports-related games. It's always an adventure, and you'll always have fun! Debra will teach you a great deal about proper form and "core stability".

How soon will I see results?

Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days. "Visual Improvement" may take from two to four weeks depending on your effort level. It's becoming common to see as much as 3-8 pound of weight loss after the first week. Remember, everyone is different!

What will I do after boot camp is over?

You will get re-measured and tested to show your progress and success in the program. Many of the campers will return for a second and even third camp.
